Following assessment from an independent body, EH Smith (Builders Merchants) Ltd has been awarded ISO 14001 certification. This certification has only been achieved by less than 1% of UK businesses and this prestigious award is supported by the Government and recognised World wide.

The award pays attention to the way in which the business conducts itself with regards to environmental issues, making a positive statement to prospective customers about the level of environmental systems management and the importance we place on meeting our customers needs. It also allows us to display the ISO 14001 logo, which you should now see on the cabs of our lorries.

Over the next 12 months you'll be able to see measures coming into place at all of the branches in order to satisfy the requirements of the award, and this will see things such as an increase in recycling and reusable's as a primary goal.
